The Calumet High School Media Production class is being listed among the top programs in the nation.
At the CLK Board of Education meeting Tuesday, Sean Jacques, Mike Roland and members of the class were congratulated for being named an “Elite” school for the 2015-16 school year by the National Federation of High Schools Network.
Calumet is one of only 37 schools across the nation to earn the status and the only one in Michigan.
In other business, the board thanked the CLK’s principals for a job well done as part of Principal Appreciation Month and they also thanked the food service staff for National School Lunch Week.
The board also authorized a contract with the Western Upper Peninsula Substance Abuse Coordinating Agency providing CLK employees with access to an Employee Assistance Program.
