Steelworkers Contract Extended

Cliffs Natural Resources says that they have reached an agreement with The United Steelworkers union to extend the current collective bargaining agreement another 30 days.

The current contract between the two parties was set to expire Oct. 1.

The contract covers over 1,000 members of USW Local 4950 & 4974.

Members of those two unions work at the Empire and Tilden Mines.

The contract talks are taking place in Pittsburgh.
