Home For Domestic Violence Victims To Host 35th Anniversary Dinner

The first step to getting out of an abusive situation is having a place to go.

For 35 years, the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home has been providing sanctuary and services for victims of domestic violence.

Director Mary Niemila talks about those early days of the shelter.

That woman’s home belonged to Barbara Kettle Gundlach.

To help raise awareness of domestic violence, the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home is hosting a 35th Anniversary Dinner at the Siskiwit Reception Hall in Calumet.

There will be plenty of food from Connie’s Kitchen and a special guest speaker.

Tickets are $20 per person and reservations need to be made by Thursday, October 1st.

For reservations, call 337-5632 or email bkghome@pasty.com

The dinner will be held on Tuesday, October 6th.
