Great news for joggers and bicyclists in the city of Hancock. The city council finally passed the Complete Streets ordinance which now gives a voice to non-motorized travel when plans for street and road construction are being made. The council also scheduled a joint council meeting with the city of Houghton for June 19th to hear a presentation from MDOT regarding the Portage Lake Lift Bridge Rehab project. The council then discussed the issues of some residents who are running their water due to frozen pipes and have exceeded the 11,000 gallon credit and agreed to have the Public Works department take a look into the situation.
