Mechanical Problems Cause Small Plane Crash

Two people are recovering after their small plane crashed in a field in Sanilac County on Tuesday afternoon.

A 69-year-old man and 64-year-old woman were found wandering around outside the plane following the crash that occurred around 2:30 p-m.

The Harrison Township residents had taken off from the Sandusky airport and reportedly experienced mechanical problems a short time later.

The pilot tried to make it back to the airport before crashing.
