A special Tribute was recently signed and dedicated by Governor Rick Snyder, Senator Tom Casperson and State Representative Scott Dianda to celebrate the LL Trail upon its grand opening.
It read, “LET IT BE KNOWN, that it is a privilege to recognize Michigan Trails and Recreation Alliance of Land and the Environment (MI-TRALE), the Ottawa National Forest, and the Parks and Recreation Division of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for the collaborative work they have done in the development and implementation of the recently completed 26 mile multi-use ORV route connecting Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin, to the Bond Falls Recreation area in Michigan.
This Multi-use route is the first step in linking Michigan and Wisconsin with a managed multi-use trail system.
The route takes the rider through multiple scenic wooded areas with numerous river crossings, through the town of Watersmeet, and to the majestic Bond Falls, the second largest water falls in Michigan.
