Hancock Woman Charged In Stabbing Incident

A Hancock woman is charged with stabbing a man over the weekend.

41-year-old Sarah Youmans appeared in 97th District Court Monday where she was arraigned on a charge of Felonious Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

She faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

The Hancock Police Department says Youmans stabbed a 57-year-old man in the left shoulder on Friday morning on Summit Street in Hancock.

The victim was taken to U.P. Health-System—Portage where he was treated for his injuries.

Youmans was later arrested by Hancock Police.

Her bond was set at $25,000 cash.

She is scheduled to have a preliminary exam in two weeks.
