Internet Safety and Sexting Move Up List of Child Heath Concerns

A new report shows internet safety and sexting are among the top ten child health concerns.

According to the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on Children’s Health, adult’s rate childhood obesity, bullying and drug abuse as their top three health concerns for kids.

Those are the same issues adults were most concerned about in 2014.

But poll director, Doctor Matthew Davis, says internet safety and sexting, which is the sending sexually explicit text messages, moved up the list this year, ranking 4th and 6th respectively.

Internet safety was 8th last year and sexting ranked 13th.

Other concerns in the top ten this year include child abuse, smoking and tobacco use and school violence.
