SmartAsset.com recently determined the places in the US where homebuyers were most likely to be approved for a mortgage.
Keweenaw County was number one in the state with 77 percent of loan applications approved, followed by Baraga County at 72 percent and Houghton and 71.5 percent.
Counties were ranked based upon the ratio of mortgage applications to mortgages approved in the county.
The rankings were part of SmartAsset’s overarching study on the best mortgage markets in the US.
