MLB – Tigers Stifled
Johnny Cueto held Tigers’ batters to just four hits over nine innings, as the Kansas City Royals blanked Detroit 4-0 last night. Matt Boyd gave up three runs in a rocky first inning. He settled down, and gave up no more runs before leaving in the sixth.

The Tigers continue that set in Kansas City tonight. Anibal Sanchez will start against Yordano Ventura. Hear the first pitch at 8:10 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

After giving up four runs in Sunday’s loss, reliever Ian Kroll has been sent down to Toledo. Kyle Ryan has been brought up, and will work out of the bullpen.

The Brewers had yesterday off, and open a series against the Cubs in Chicago tonight. Taylor Jungmann will pitch against Dan Haren.

Twilight League Finals Begin Tonight
Twilight LeagueRegular-season champion Wolverine/Orbit will host Dean Kangas-State Farm in the opening game of the Copper Country Twilight League baseball championship series tonight. – Calumet One clinched the championship by defeating L and L 7-2. L and L finished third.
– Out of the Norm grabbed second place by beating Dreamland 8-1.
– North End One claimed fourth place with a 5-4 win over fifth place Ahmeek Fire Department.
– Drift Inn defeated Calumet Two 6-3.
– Gasoline Alley got past North End Two 6-3.
– Fat Lil Bandits edged Loading Zone 5-4.
