Michigan ranks poorly among states when it comes to student debt.
The survey by wallethub.com says Michigan is 39th when it comes to student debt relative to the strength of the state’s economy.
The survey is titled “2015’s Best and Worst States for Student Debt.”
Utah was best state. Mississippi was the worst.
The website says it looked a seven key metrics in the study.
Their analysis included areas such as the average size of student debt to the unemployment rate for people aged 25 to 34, to the percentage of students with past-due loan balances.
