What if gas prices fell below two dollars per gallon in Michigan?
Gasbuddy.com says that the average price of gas in Michigan could be down to $1.98 per gallon before the end of the year.
Gasbuddy’s Patrick DeHahn says Michigan and up to 19 other states could see a sub-two dollar pump price as early as October or November.
DeHaan says the lower prices are at least in part driven by economic concerns in China, which have resulted in less consumption worldwide and a glut in supply.
He adds that it’s interesting to remember that last year the national average shed more than a $1.27 during the second half of the year, and “this year, if we see just half of that decline it will bring us to below $2 per gallon.”
