Suspect Robs Ishpeming Drug Store With A Toy Gun

One man is in custody after reportedly robbing a drug story in Ishpeming with a toy gun.

Police say the Negaunee man held up the Snyder’s Rx Express on Main Street shortly before 9:00am Thursday.

The suspect took two bottles of narcotics then fled the scene.

Police used video footage of the suspect throwing something away in a dumpster behind a local restaurant.

A plastic toy gun was later recovered from the dumpster.

Michigan State Police caught up with the suspect hiding in a storage shed in Negaunee Township and arrested him.

The stolen items were also found.

He is being lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

Another suspect had been picked up earlier in the day after he fled from police but was later cleared.
