Early Warning System For Schools Head To Governor

Most bills in a package to create an early warning system for financially distressed schools are headed to the governor.

The legislation that creates reporting standards for cash strapped schools is aimed at keeping schools out of emergency management.

All but one of the bills cleared the legislature. One was amended in the House and the Senate could vote on it when they meet again on June 30.
