Senate Committee Votes To Shut Down Film Office

Michigan would be the only state in the country to not have a film office after a Senate committee voted Tuesday to shut it down.

The bill still needs to go through the full Senate and House.

The committee was due to vote on ending funding for film incentives but approved a surprise substitute to that bill instead.

The office is tasked with luring film companies to Michigan.
