It’s going to cost almost $3 billion and take 20 years to rebuild almost seven-miles of Interstate 94 in downtown Detroit.
That’s what the Michigan Department of Transportation says about a proposed project that would run from Conner to I-96.
The project would include reconstructing almost 70 bridges and six railroad overpasses, new drainage and utilities, along with changes to the I-94-M-10 (Lodge Freeway) and I-94-I-75 interchanges.
M-DOT will have several public meetings on the proposed work.
