SEMCO Bills Rising

SEMCO natural gas customers will see their bills go up soon. The Michigan Public Service Commission has approved a settlement agreement that authorizes the company to continue its natural gas main replacement program. The agreement requires SEMCO to to spend 10-million dollars per year on gas main replacement through the year 2020. It’s not known if any of the work will take place in our area. The cost will be covered by a surcharge on your monthly bill. An average customer will see an increase of about $1.20 per month.
