Houghton Portage Township School seeks to fill a board of education vacancy

The Houghton Portage Township School District seeks to add a member to the board of education.

In August the HPTS board of education filled a partial term seat with Julie Cischke, until the new year.

The individual who fills the vacancy will hold a position on the Houghton Portage Township Schools Board of Education until November 2026. The district asks potential candidates to please provide a copy of a resume, and cover letter, and answer a series of questions related to their interest and experience with the school district. HPTS schools will continue to accept applications for the board vacancy until January 17th.

HPTS leaders will meet on January 20th, and presumably select a candidate for the board of education. Those interested in learning more can find more details here. Those with questions should contact Superintendent Anders Hill for more information. Find contact details here.
