Gary Brown passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 after a lengthy illness. He was born June 24, 1952 in Laurium, Michigan to Anna and Emery Brown. He was a 1971 graduate of Calumet High School and a lifelong resident of Laurium.
He proudly served in the Michigan National Guard for 21 years.
Gary was passionate about family and always willing to help. He was a true Yooper and proud of his heritage.
One of his favorite pastimes was deer hunting with his sons Bill, Eric and grandson Trevor. Gary always kept the deer camp fire burning and was known for his tasty meatloaf.
He also loved spending time at the family camp. There will be an empty spot at the picnic table. He will be dearly missed.
Gary is survived by: his wife Sue, sons Bill and Eric, sister Beth (Mike) Revello, grandson Trevor, sisters-in-law Patricia Brown, Kathy (Jim) Greenfield and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Emery Brown Jr., mother-in-law and father-in-law Ralph and Pauline Bregar, sister-n-law Gina Bregar and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date at one of his favorite places…the camp.
