Copper Country ISD recognizes teaching professionals during the final meeting of 2024

Teachers play special roles in a child’s life. Recently the Copper Country Intermediate School district recognized two teaching professionals for their service to students and the community.

At the CCISD’s December board meeting members recognized Copper Shores’ December Superior Educator Lori Fortin. With the Copper Country Intermediate School District. Fortin works as an Early childhood special education service provider helping teach kids and creating a fun classroom environment with a happy demeanor. Her nomination for the December Superior Educator honor with the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation noted she is the perfect teacher.

A second education professional the ISD recognized during its last meeting of 2024 was Jennifer Lynn for 30 years in education. Lynn began working with the CCISD in 2021, bringing her a wealth of experience. Previously she held roles as a librarian, teacher, principal, and superintendent. As a student working on graduate studies, she even interned with the Michigan Department of Education. The ISD thanked Lynn for her instrumental role in assisting administrators during the COVID-19 pandemic and for her dedication to education in remote communities.
