Delores Marie Lutz, 83, of Kearsarge, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 at the Omega House in Houghton with her family by her side. Born on December 9, 1941, in Laurium, Michigan, she was the beloved daughter of Joseph and June Meneguzzo of Calumet, Michigan.
Delores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who deeply cherished her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from hosting holiday gatherings to enjoying her favorite TV shows and solving crossword puzzles. A lifelong dedicated homemaker, she also spent summer months with her best friend cleaning homes for local families, creating lasting connections through her hard work and warmth.
Delores met Edward Lutz in 1959, and they were united in marriage on August 26, 1961, in Calumet, Michigan. Their loving partnership blessed them with three children.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Susan) of Houghton and Jerry of Kearsarge; two grandchildren, Andrew Lutz of Ironwood and Sarah Lutz of Hancock; and one great-grandchild, Sloane. Her sisters: Theresa Anders of Jefferson, Wi. Mary Rowe of Calumet and Cheryl Meneguzzo of Calumet, Daughter-in-law Kate Lutz and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Edward and her son Edward Jr. Her brothers: Anthony, Matthew and Joseph Meneguzzo, her sisters Betty Klinefelter and Ann Weijola.
The family has entrusted arrangements to Ryan Funeral Home in Calumet. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with a service at 7:30 PM officiated by Fr. Gracious Pulimoottil.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts of expression, memorial contributions may be made to Omega House, 2211 Maureen Lane, Houghton, MI 49931.
