Porkies Winter Sports Complex opens at the end of December

The Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park attracts people from all over the Midwest for its expansive beauty and incredible recreation opportunities. Even in the winter visitors pack up the car and travel long distances to explore one of the region’s most isolated areas of wilderness.

In just a couple of short weeks, visitors will flock to the Porcupine Mountains for the opening of the Porkies Winter Sports Complex. The recreation area welcomes skiers and snowboarders with all levels of experience to carve up the park’s trails and runs.
