Michigan State Police concluded its investigation of a deceased body found at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore earlier this month.
Yesterday the Michigan State Police announced it has identified the deceased individual as John Kueber, 65 years old, who had gone missing in September while kayaking on Lake Superior.
On September 29th the MSP Negaunee post, with area first responders, began a search for Kueber after he was reported missing. Search teams could not locate him at the time.
On November 8th troopers were called to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, after a body was seen by hikers on Miners Beach. Through DNA analysis state police identified the individual as John Kueber. His next of kin have been notified at this time.
