College Basketball
Michigan Tech guard Marcus Tomashek has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week. Tomashek scored 69 points in the Huskies’ games against Minnesota State-Moorhead and Minnesota-Duluth last weekend.
NHL
The Red Wings used three late goals to defeat the Islanders 4-2 last night. Moritz Seider scored early in the contest. Dylan Larkin tied the game midway through the third period. Lucas Raymond netted the game-winner with six minutes remaining, and Simon Edvinsson added a late empty-netter. Alex Lyon made 27 saves.
The Wings welcome the Flames tomorrow, with coverage beginning at 7:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
Jaden Ivey’s jump shot at the buzzer gave the Pistons a 102-100 victory over the Raptors last evening. Ivey finished the game with 25 points. Jalen Duren collected 12 rebounds.
The Pistons visit the Grizzlies tomorrow.
Detroit played again without Cade Cunningham, who is dealing with a sacroiliac joint injury. Ausar Thompson made his season debut, contributing 16 minutes as he recovers from a blood clot malady.

The Ravens outlasted the Chargers 30-23 in last night’s game.
